ABOUT THE AUTHORS

DANIEL Janse van Rensburg, a thirdgeneration Zimbabwean, grew up in Angola and Namibia, where he married his childhood sweetheart, Melanie, before settling in South Africa. Daniel is fluent in several languages and worked as a business consultant across Africa until his illegal incarceration in Equatorial Guinea’s notorious Black Beach prison. In 2016, he sued Equatorial Guinea’s vice-president, Teodorin Obiang, and was awarded damages by the Western Cape High Court. Daniel lives in Hoekwil with Melanie, and dedicates his time to witnessing and motivational speaking.

TRACEY Pharoah has worked in advertising, marketing and publishing for more than two decades, with projects that have taken her to Kenya and Abu Dhabi. She currently lives in Wilderness, where she owns a gallery with her artist husband, Peter.
