As the youth we are told to create opportunities for ourselves because of unemployment so I wrote my own book. #sowetouprising. #YouthDay2021

@BlackCulture_HM

#Sowetouprising Massacre Day is not June 16. It feels like we are sugarcoating this day. Our brothers and sisters lost lives on this day.

@UrielNathanZA

The president suggested that a significant number of people amongst today’s youth are misinformed about June 16. Can we continue to educate future generations on the #SowetoUprising and commemorate this historic occasion? @_leshomo

To the class of 1976, we salute you. As we continue to fight the pandemic, fight for free education, a better future and financial freedom, let us not be discouraged. #sowetouprising “For freedom we shall lay down our lives. The struggle continues.”#16June1976

@SimthoBiyela

We were promised that education would open doors and free us from poverty,but it seems like it was all a dream #unemployment in South Africa seems to be rising tremendously. Graduates are working as cleaners, petrol attendants and cashiers. @KjrSnowy

We all have the spirit of a freedom fighter. It is all our story. Let us not be discouraged but rather fuelled to keep the fight going.#sowetouprising #YouthMonth2021 @zainubhayet

Never forget the Soweto Uprising. Never forget that South Africa is not free until Palestine is free. #YouthDay2021 #sowetouprising
