@JohnnyHexburg

Instead of accepting accountability, they give excuses. Zebra is not one of the big 5. Let our Olympians fade into the background. In the group photo you cannot even see the individual people. Worst design ever, the team is fading away into the background.

I understand the jokes & criticisms about the SA Olympic Team’s outfits. It’s extremely difficult to have an accurate representation of all the diverse groupings from our beautiful nation.

@WorthyPromises

They must not be discouraged. Their work is beautiful and on point. Our team looks like they are on safari.

@Mmina_Noko1

South Africa is a diverse country. It’s impossible to amalgamate all cultures in one outfit. What they wore represents one of the cultures we have and it’s ok. @Ngoako2030

They must leave the industry and focus on something else. Surely I can do a better job even though I am not a designer.

@PamelaSalalah

Somizi joins many who aren’t ‘happy’ with the SA Olympic team’s outfits. Grow up. The country has bigger concerns. Heavens. How petty can you be? @Gina_and_tonic

It feels like whoever designed the SA Olympic team’s outfits did not really think about how it will look from far up in the stadium. Up close it is ok, but if the camera zooms out it looks like a bunch of confused farmers in vellies and khaki.

For the next Olympics can we have a reveal of the SA team’s outfit and kit a few months prior for public comment?

@ShareenSingh8

Does anyone know whether there was a tender put out for the design and manufacturing of the official outfits for the SA team at the Olympic Games? How much did they cost?
