A MAN collects water from a roaming tanker. Notwithstanding World Water Day on Tuesday, parts of the world are experiencing water shortages. In Robertsham, south of Joburg, residents have been without water for more than 12 days. Tankers are roaming to distribute much-needed water in the area, but it is not always practical and elderly people often have to walk long distance unabated to fetch water. One resident says this resembles the deep rural country. |
