The driver of a Mercedes V Class vehicle was apprehended on Wednesday after fleeing a Pietermaritzburg petrol

@AdvoBarryRoux

The driver of this Mercedes V Class was arrested after fuelling, he drove off. The station attendants alerted the securities who then checked CCTV footage and went on a chase. @Tendenc95

This is because of peer pressure and buying something they can’t maintain. Life isn’t a map, it’s unpredictable.

@Ingathedressma1

He must be a tortoise because he had all the time to escape and they caught him. To alert and check footage, then start cars to chase after him.

@MarumoMashigo

I personally think all garage owners need to come up with the introduction of you pay before fueling your car. This will stop this kind of evil act, reduce this type of case being reported to police and to save the poor petrol attendant’s little salary.

@HumbuCollimate

Do you think that Mercedes is being used for stealing, carjacking and heists? What’s happening? Maybe my analysis is wrong.

@Brian_john29

When we talk about affordability we don’t talk about monthly instalments only, we talk about petrol and insurance too. Budget for everything that can go wrong. People pay over R11 000 per month for a car while earning R20 000. They end up being broke.

@NareDipela

They must swallow their pride and fuel R100 just like us VW Polo drivers. We will understand. The cost of living is too high.

Some dealerships will tell you if you buy a car in December, you’ll pay your first installment in March. I think this is what happened here.

@Yenkosi

This thought crosses my mind from time to time. When it does, I just put my R50 and leave. Life is expensive. @LiberalsAreNaiv

His Mercedes was used in the commission of a crime, therefore, can’t he lose it? To the Twitter legal minds, where are you at?
